Repair Kit for River Rat Tube

This repair kit is designed specifically for Intex River Rat Tubes, although it works well for most vinyl repairs. The kit includes one Pool Above Glue Kit (24895) and six 2.625-inch round vinyl patches. The glue kit contains two complementary 9.5cm x 20cm clear vinyl sheets, a 1 fl oz. (30ml) tube of vinyl cement, and an applicator.

For the best possible hold, users are advised to follow the instructions and watch the video. The kit is recommended for ages 14 and above.

The patches included in the kit are sourced from the Intex River Rat Tube manufacturer and come in a variety of colors and textures, including four black and two multi-vinyl patches. Additionally, the kit features two 7.75" x 3.75" transparent patches, which are durable and offer long-lasting adhesion.

To apply the patch kit, users should first clean the damaged area thoroughly using a vinyl surface cleaner. The patch should be cut larger than the damaged area, with rounded corners to prevent peeling. For light gauge vinyl and inflatable pools, the adhesive should be applied sparingly and evenly to the patch. For heavy gauge vinyl and pool liners, the adhesive should be applied liberally and evenly.

When applying the patch out of the water, the user should press out all air bubbles and, if possible, apply weight to the patch and allow 24 hours for the bond to reach full strength. When applying the patch underwater, the user should keep the patch folded over the damaged area, then unfold and apply immediately, pressing out all air bubbles. Again, if possible, weight should be applied to the patch and allowed to dry for 24 hours.

If the damaged area is on a seam, the user should add an additional bead of glue to the seam before applying the patch.
